St. Vital Centre Gets Social
Social media was an obvious fit for engaging and interacting with St Vital Centre's shoppers, and since we had already built great brand awareness, it was an easy transition to an online community. Prior to launching, we created a strategic social media plan that outlined clear goals and desired outcomes, and determined comprehensive analytical processes to monitor them. We chose Facebook to start, and established a framework for consistent, quality content via an ongoing content calendar. After outlining a distinct tone for St. Vital Centre's social media voice, we set out guidelines for posting, as well as for responding to all comments, both positive and potentially negative, which we continue to adhere to.
St. Vital Centre's social media following grew organically and consistently, augmented by campaign integration, custom contests, and the launch of Spark. Today, St. Vital Centre is actively engaged on four platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, where we acquired 1000 followers after just 8 weeks. We have a loyal following across platforms that is highly engaged and still growing. We continue to manage day-to-day posting, tracking, and yearly audits.
