Spring is for Sharing!
Spring was all about sharing at St. Vital Centre. The spring campaign was focused primarily online and aimed to inspire shoppers with ideas and products, plus have them share their inspirations in return. The main component was the ‘Style it. Share it. Win it!’ Facebook page contest. The contest allowed our shoppers to browse through some of our retailers’ hottest items for spring and create their own inspiration board they could share through Facebook and Twitter. Each user was then entered to win every item on their board, plus weekly draws for St. Vital Centre Giftcards.
Radio spots, Facebook ads and geo-targeted online advertising directly promoted and linked to the contest, plus QR codes on tent cards in the Food Hall allowed shoppers to play directly from their mobile phones. By the end of the contest, 920 inspiration boards had been created with Facebook ‘likes’ increasing by 69% and Twitter followers by 71%. Traffic to the website increased by 42% on average over the four weeks of the campaign compared to the same time last year.
