Fusion on FilmPosted by Haley

It’s not everyday we hear, “Lights. Camera. Action!” in our office. This past week the HBO Canada series, Less Than Kind took the Fusion office by storm! The four-time Gemini Award winning comedy chose to feature Fusion as a location in their fourth and final season. Lucky us!
With a full production crew inside and outside our office, Fusion transformed into a film set for the day. With all the cameras, lights and police directing traffic, it was a surprise there was no paparazzi hovering around. We did however, attract the attention of people passing by, as vehicles had their chance to get their 15 seconds of fame as part of the hustle and bustle of downtown Winnipeg.
From the production crew scurrying through the office setting up cords and cameras to the director and producer prompting the actors, the Fusion team caught a glimpse of all the behind the scenes hoopla! As an already energetic office, we were even more hyped while the cameras were rolling (which proved to be challenge when instructed to be, “quiet on set”). Our deviant whispers during takes quickly turned into chatter as soon as the director yelled, “Cut!” on set. Then it was a quick scramble to get from one side of the office to the other and spit out everything we needed to say before the next take. Not even tiptoeing was permitted (as Leo (Barrett’s dog) and I found out the hard way).
Although we didn’t get quite the Hollywood treatment, it was an exciting whirlwind experience that was great to be a part of. Keep an eye out as Fusion makes its television debut in to the fourth season of Less Than Kind in 2013.
